Technically, this is a book blog, not a critic spot as I'm not into the deep poetic analysis of a book or whatnot. Books reviewed here are mostly fantasy, middle-grade or YA, and sometimes chick-lit. But as long as it's a book that captures my interest, I'm all for it. Basically, this blog was conceived, as I wanted an easier way to organize the books I have read, and also because I really like talking about my latest read, and this is the perfect outlet for it. I will usually write a review about once or twice a week, or when I get a book to review. My reviews would be my honest opinion, and I would usually do my best not to reveal anything spoiler-y, so I won't mess with anyone's reading experience. Oh and if anyone feels offended by my reviews I am terribly and utterly sorry and I apologize, for that is not my intent. However if you just feel differently from what I think, I respect your opinion, as you are most definitely entitled to your own, as am I. I also have a tendency to rant. A lot. And gripe. And gush. Well you get the idea.

So why a pineapple, you may ask? Well, I don't actually like pineapples. So the use of 'pineapple' in my sentences can either be a euphemism for cusses, used to describe something I don't like, or the action of slapping you forehead. Since I am very forgetful, frequently gets boggled, and is very picky, the term "Oh, Pineapple!" just seems to describe me a lot.

My name is Vanessa, and I have started reviewing books since June 2011, though not all are posted here (on Goodreads instead). Well I am 14, and I have a mad obsession with books and clearly, it has taken a toll on my eyesight.
I live in Singapore, with no pets. Well, I had pets once, but after about 16 guppies died in a row I decided Nah, I'm a terrible pet owner and pretty much gave up on that idea. I ramble too much sometimes, and consider myself to be a fast reader, usually crunching a book in about 2-4 hours depending on the size and interestingness.
I really hate sports, though I do sprints pretty well, and I'm studying in a Pre-tertiary Arts school in Singapore (pretty sure there's only one).
I also enjoy making words up, because it's amusing, verily so, to see people suddenly stop and go What did that mean?! but oh no, that's for me to know and for them to find out.
I like getting to know people too, so you can pop by with a comment and just introduce yourself!
